Mr. Mueller graduated Rutgers University in 1996 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Political Science.

He attended the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida where he graduated cum laude. He was a member of the Real Property Group and the Federalist Society. Additionally, he served as president of Phi Delta Phi, the nation's oldest legal honor fraternity.

After graduation, he worked with the firm of Wohl & Goldstein in Somerville, New Jersey, where he gained experience in the areas of zoning and planning and commercial and residential real estate transactions.
